From January 23 to 25, 2024, under the theme of Forensics, the 3rd International Conference on Architectural, Civil, and Environmental Forensic Engineering (ICACEFE) was held as a virtual event. On January 25, the third day featured a session related to water and environmental topics, commencing with a welcome greeting from Professor Donghwi Jung of Korea University, who chaired the conference. 

January 25th, 2024, marked the last day with two main themes, particularly focusing on 'AI, ML, and Optimization Technique for Water and Environmental Forensic Engineering' within the realm of Water and Environmental Engineering. A total of 4 topics were presented in this session. Professor Donghwi Jung of Korea University initiated the presentations with a lecture on "System and Model Robustness for Hydrosystems in the Era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution". Subsequent presentations were delivered by Professor Jae Hyeon Ryu, Professor Anupam Yadav, and Dr. Nurul Alvia Istiqomah. All speakers provided insights into strategies for collecting high-quality data and conducting research using machine learning (ML) and optimization methods in the field of Water and Environmental Engineering. Following the presentations, an animated exchange of questions and answers took place between the audience and presenters, fostering abundant academic exchanges and information sharing.

The conference attracted 445 participants from 43 countries, with around 200 actively engaging in discussions, posing questions, and offering insightful comments during each session. 

Thanks to the passionate lectures by speakers and the active participation of the audience, the water environment session on the last day of the 3rd ICACEFE concluded successfully. It served as a meaningful platform to discuss the future of forensic engineering in the field of water and the environment. Anticipation is high for the 4th ICACEFE scheduled for 2025, expecting continuous interest and support.
